On 11th July 2011, Morari Bapu, one of India’s greatest spiritual leaders and an unparalleled orator, addressed an audience of over 4,000 people at London’s ExCeL auditorium. People travelled from all over the UK to join the event. Since 1960, Bapu has been delivering hugely popular sermons (kathas), usually lasting nine days and in both Gujarati and Hindi, all over the world – including in India, the US, South Africa, Kenya, and even on a cruise ship in the Mediterranean Sea and on a plane! The event was organised to raise awareness in the UK of our work in India. Bapu’s message had a profound effect on the audience, and many of them have become committed Akshaya Patra supporters.
