NEWS DETAILS

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of the renowned Michelin starred chef Alfred Prasad as our new Chef Ambassador.

Born in Wardha, India, Alfred has honed his unique and pioneering style of Indian cuisine at prestigious restaurants all over the world, including the fabled Tamarind of Mayfair, London. In 2002, Alfred earned the honour of becoming the youngest Indian chef to receive a Michelin star. Apart from this and many other accolades, he is a highly sought after authority on inventive Indian food. Alfred is passionate about food as a force for good, and is committed to making great food available to all.

"Over the last few years I have heard so much about Akshaya Patra's ground breaking efforts, their unique approach to complex issues and the world class standards they uphold in their operations of feeding over a million on a daily basis. Most of all, I love the ripple effect of their work which creates immense tangible and intangible impact for their beneficiaries. I am honoured to collaborate with Akshaya Patra and do my bit to fight food poverty and malnutrition in India" - Alfred Prasad.

This is a fantastic development for us at Akshaya Patra. Alfred's calibre, vision and commitment to our cause is exemplary, and together we hope to undertake many exciting initiatives to support our Food For Education Programme.
