Thank you for all of your invaluable support in 2017

NEWS DETAILS

As we approach the end of the year on behalf of all of us here in the UK, we would like to sincerely thank all of you for your support to Akshaya Patra and to our wonderful children as we work towards eradicating classroom hunger. Your support has helped us to reach thousands of more children, support us in setting up operations in Tripura – now our 12th state and open up quite a few new kitchens this year.

Each one of the children you have supported is now on their journey to unleash their genius and become the best version of themselves.

Our kitchens are more than a scalable operated site or factory to us, it is where the seeds of hope get planted. Not only are they packed with the latest machinery and measures to track our everyday efficiency but are every morning cooking up freshly prepared meals to perfection ensuring they are nutritionally balanced for the children we serve. We use the term ‘kitchen’ as we want to serve hot plates of food as it would be prepared with the same affection and nutritious ingredients, as a parent would for their child. Hence Akshaya Patra kitchens are all expressions of our labour of love.

As always, we welcome your support and partnerships, and would like to offer a warm welcome to our new supporters, volunteers and fundraisers who joined our family this year, by partnering through our different initiatives enabling us to strive towards our mission of serving 5 million children by 2020. Your support is much appreciated and we are very grateful to each one of you.

Recently we celebrated 17 years of Akshaya Patra, all thanks to your continued ongoing passion and support for a place where every child, can just be, a child; free from the tangles of hunger and poverty to pursue their dreams. Our humble thanks of gratitude to all those who made this happen and look forward to future endeavours.

Wishing you a very happy new year, from all the 1.7 million children we serve daily, and from all of us at Akshaya Patra, thank you.
